Visiting the Museum
The museum is located in Piece Hall Yard, Bradford , West Yorkshire, UK. The Museum galleries occupy the top floor of one of Bradford's many spectacular 19th century city centre buildings and may be found just off Hustlergate, opposite Waterstones Bookshop and the City Vaults.
See map here.
Both Forster Square Railway Station and the Bradford Interchange (bus and rail terminal) are less than five minutes walk from the Museum and parking is available in several city centre car parks, again all of which are only a few minutes walk from the Peace Museum.
The Museum is currently open Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays 10 am to 4 pm. Entrance is free, but as we are a charity with no public funding or grant aid, we welcome visitor donations no matter how small.
We are open for group visits, school visits, education work and to general visitors at alternative times (day, evenings and weekends) by appointment. Please feel free to contact us to discuss your requirements. There is usually a moderate charge for group visits. Our education and learning charges are also very reasonable and may be found by following the link here.
Visitors are advised to ring the Museum prior to their visit to confirm the Museum is open. Museum opening is dependent on a small team of staff and opening hours and days are subject to change depending on staffing levels.
Please note that the Museum is located up some 60 steps and the building does not have a lift.
Visitors who wish to speak to staff or have enquiries are asked to book an appointment to guarantee that the relevant staff member is available to help them with their enquiry. Appointments can be made via the contact details below.
