Travelling Exhibitions

The Peace Museum has thought-provoking exhibitions available for borrrowing. These colourful, engaging exhibitions explore peace-related themes and are designed to be easy for individuals and organisations to borrow and set up in their own spaces. They are deal for schools, community and civic organisations.

All travelling exhibitions (excepting ‘The A-Bomb and Humanity’ exhibition) consist of laminated full-colour panels with text and illustrations.  Wall fastening can be by Blu-tak or Velcro and only takes a few minutes to put up.  Display stands are not included.

Exhibitions are mailed to the borrower in one box (which can be handled easily by one person and transported in a car).  There is no cost to borrow the exhibitions, but we do charge for the cost of mailing, which includes insurance. If borrowers can pick up the exhibitions from Bradford, there would be no mailing cost

‘A Farewell to Arms?’ exhibition at Royal Armouries, Leeds

This exhibition was created in conjunction with the Royal Armouries, Leeds and is on permanent display in the War Gallery on the second floor at Royal Armouries, Leeds.  It focuses on the idea of conversion – from war to peace, from weapons and armour to useful tools or symbolic images.

The display explores the positive changes that have been – and are still being – made by individuals, groups and whole nations that choose to replace conflict with peace.
