The Peace Museum team were supposed to be travelling to Kyoto, Japan in September 2020 to attend the International Network of Museums for Peace conference, thanks to funding awarded by the Daiwa Anglo-Japanese Foundation and Museums Development Yorkshire. Unfortunately, due to the ongoing pandemic, the team were unable to travel, but the conference is now online. This means that people across the world interested in peace can take part.

We submitted two videos about our work at The Peace Museum. Watch them below!

1. Our Curator Charlotte introduces videos created by our team from home during the covid-19 lockdown. The videos are all about our favourite objects from our collection as part of the UK-wide Twitter initiative #MuseumFromHome

You can see it as part of the conference programme here: INMP Conference

2. Our Learning and Engagement Officer, Shannen, and Choices Project Manager, Jude, brought together this video showcasing our unique peace learning programmes.

You can see it as part of the conference programme here: INMP Conference

Our Chair of Trustees, Clive Barrett also submitted a video paper to the conference about his work on religion in peace museums. Watch it here: INMP Conference
