To manage the Commonweal Collection and provide access to its resources for activist individuals and organisations, in order to increase nonviolent action within movements for positive social change.
The primary focus of the role is to organise and update the Commonweal Collection, developing it and building on its role as a rich source of materials to inspire, support and inform activists seeking nonviolent transformative change in the UK.
To build the visibility and reach of the Commonweal Collection, and increase the usage of our resources by individuals and campaigning organisations, in order to increase nonviolent action within movements for positive social justice.
The primary focus of the role is to find engaging ways of bringing the theory and practice of nonviolence to the attention of new activist groups, such as those concerned with climate change, challenging injustice, and the cost-of-living crisis, so that they have more tools with which to achieve change and be heard. To this end, the post-holder will develop and implement a strategy to increase usage and membership of the Commonweal Collection.
