Volunteer with us!

Are you interested in working with museum collections? 

We are looking for regular volunteers to assist with our collections. This is likely to include:

• Collection handling, packing and labelling
• Working with our collections database, Modes
• Basic conservation e.g. cleaning textiles
• Researching collections

Volunteers will have the opportunity to meet new people, learn new skills, and help to care for our unique collection. No previous experience is required, as we will provide training and support.

Although this is an unpaid position, we are able to reimburse reasonable travel expenses. We are currently only in the museum during the week, and can offer flexible hours for volunteers between Monday and Friday.
