The Peace Museum has been awarded a Bradford 2025 City of Culture large scale capital grant.

The grant will enable us to carry out the building works required to open the new Peace Museum in Salts Mill in summer 2024. These works are part of the IMAGINE: Creating The Peace Museum of the
Future project. Also supported through The National Lottery Heritage Fund, thanks to money raised by National Lottery players, the project will focus on creating engaging and accessible exhibitions, and developing a dedicated learning space in its new home. Opening in these new premises will create many more opportunities for visitors, researchers, and community groups to explore the diverse range of stories told by the museum’s collection.

The grant is being administered by Bradford 2025’s Cultural Capital Fund and the funding has come from City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council.

We are finalising the contract for the grant and will publish further details in due course – thank you to Bradford 2025 and to our other supporters for making the IMAGINE project possible.
