York Amnesty Quilt

On 28 December the museum received visitors from York Amnesty International group to see the large quilt created by York Amnesty to mark the 50th anniversary of the founding of Amnesty in 2011. The quilt has been loaned to the museum and was on display as part of the Challenging the Fabric of Society exhibition.

Also, accompanying the group were visitors from Burundi, Chad and Ethiopia, Human Rights Defenders who are currently Visiting Fellows in the University of York Centre for Applied Human Rights. (see [email protected] )

Please note the Challenging the Fabric of Society exhibition has now ended.
